Getting them started

You know you can't wait to them on the slopes, it's for you and them a family fun activity.  Snowboarding is a great way for families to spend time together and build memories that will last a lifetime.

Get them out there are early as possible, children have no fear and will try most things. Start them off on a small hill or even just pull them along on a flat area.
They will soon be asking to go further, higher and faster!

Skiweb's new child's started snowboard is perfect. It's plastic with no complications just a basic starter snowboard.  Its robust and strong with flexible bindings to fit snow boots.

Before you set out a few key points
Kit them out in the correct clothing
Make sure they are warm and dry
Always wear a helmet, no matter how flat the area is
Make learning fun. Hot chocolate or French fries in the lodge are great incentives. Pack snacks in your pocket for the chairlift.

Instructor or not?
If you have the means a couple of one to one sessions with a profession instructor will boast them up and give them so much confidence.
Check out the resort instructors and make sure you hire a English speaking one. My son once went to ski school and the whole class only spoke French.. what a disaster! It nearly put him off ski school for ever. We quickly got him our and found a English class.
Before you send them off for the day make sure they know they can get hold of you at anytime. Give the instructor your contact number, I have also put this on a clip on zipper ID.

Learning is all about fun, if they enjoy it they will excel at it!
